The small lodge overlooks the infinite hues of blue of the Indian Ocean, on the full sandy bottom of a tiny island, in front of the untouched beach in Bagamoyo. Enjoy the unpretentious and laid-back atmosphere.
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Bagamoyo
Our vehicle will pick you up from your residence, or an agreed meeting-point in Dar es Salaam. You will then be transferred to Bagamoyo, and the 'mbegani' area which is the crossing point for the boat to Lazy Lagoon.
Enjoy lunch on arrival, followed by an afternoon relaxing on the beach.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Bagamoyo to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, spend the morning at leisure.
Have a leisurely lunch, before getting on the boat back to the mainland.
Our vehicle will meet you and transfer you back from Bagamoyo to Dar es Salaam

Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge
This idyllic exclusive island is 2km off the shore of main land Tanzania opposite the historical town of Bagamoyo, north of Dar es Salaam.
Accommodation is in 12 large airy natural mkuti beach bandas only yards from the Indian Ocean. From the sundowner lounge above the bar, visitors can watch the sunrise over Zanzibar and set over the palm trees of Bagamoyo and feel the Swahili atmosphere as they follow the flotilla of hundreds of local fishing boats tack around the island to get from their villages on the mainland to their fishing grounds.
The individual beach cottages all have en suite bathroom - shower, basin, toilet. Towels and beach towels provided. All rooms have full beach frontage, with verandah, hammock and deck chairs. The lounge, bar,dining area is at tip of the island with views east and west. The rooms are shady and well ventilated, but there is no air conditioning.
