Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Lake Manyara

Make your way to the airport in Dar es Salaam, for your flight to Kilimanjaro.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by  your driver-guide, and depart for Lake Manyara national park with a picnic lunch. Enjoy afternoon game viewing in Lake Manyara national park famed for it's tree climbing lions and abundant bird life.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti National Park, famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest's trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant's gazelle. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowl the southeastern plains.

There is more to Serengeti than large mammals. There are over 500 species of birds, and your guide will also introduce you to the small five'.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park 

After breakfast, enjoy a full day safari with a picnic lunch in the Serengeti exploring the local ecosystem.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater.

Descend into the crater for game viewing with picnic lunch. Here you can see a spectacular concentration of
wildlife, including the big five. Drive across the dense forest and near the soda lake and enjoy viewing a
variety of bird life.

Ascend from the 2000ft. deep crater to your lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast drive to Arusha and arrive at the Arusha Coffee Lodge where you will enjoy a meal in the lush green gardens. After lunch you may have some time to visit Shanga, an uplifting local community social enterprise which employs people with disabilities to create unique handmade gifts.

Transfer from Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam.

Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

Perched on the jagged rim of the crater, wreathed in morning mist, camouflaged in river-stone and cloakedin indigenous creepers, the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is a triumph of ecological and architecturalfusion. Serengeti Serena Lodge

Set high on the saddle of tree-clad ridge commanding panoramic views over the endlessly rolling reachesand volcanic reefs of the Serengeti, the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is the ultimate fusion of traditionalAfrican architecture and world-class style.
